VCHS Friday Night Lights: Runners’ Edition

The Valor Christian Boys are on the rise. But not just on the football field. Last weekend at the Nike Desert Twilight XC Festival, the Valor Boys won the sweepstakes division (championship) race down in Arizona. They beat numerous nationally ranked teams including No. 8 Niwot and No. 10 Cherokee Trail. Dane Eike (JR) and Drew Costelow (SR) got 4th and 5th overall leading the team to a breakout victory. Heading into the State Championships, Valor Christian has a chance to win the first ever Cross Country Championship for the school, after their second place finish last year behind Mountain Vista. This year’s race is going to be one of the most competitive races in history.
